2.2 Interpretations

The following publications should be used to define additional terms not encompassed in the definitions section of this manual:
Definitions of Surveying and Associated Terms
American Congress on Surveying and Mapping and American Society of Civil Engineers, latest edition
Black’s Law Dictionary, latest edition
In the event that different publications provide conflicting definitions, the practitioner should use the definitions given in the following publications in this order of preference:
Professional Engineers, Land Surveyors and Geologists Registration Law of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Act 367, as amended.
